De digitale camera is een van de moderne attributen die de kwaliteit van het kijken voor het grote publiek heeft veranderd.
In de tijd van de analoge fotografie was het registreren selectiever en overwogen. De opkomst van digitale fotografie zorgde voor een soort vrijheid. Iedereen. Alles. Veel.

Maar deze vrijheid heeft een beperking: pixels.
Je waarneming wordt berekend tot codes die een kleur representeren. Hoe hoog de resolutie ook is, je bent gebonden aan de berekening. We accepteren dat we onze waarneming door dit digitale raster persen.

Deze houten digitale camera verlegt de kwaliteit van het kijken naar het letterlijke moment, plek en materiaal.
De werking van dit toestel bootst de digitale fotografie na. Het is een werktuig met een eigen geheugenkaart. De resolutie is laag, 1064 pixels. Maar de kwaliteit van de pixels is hoog, iedere pixel wordt verzameld uit de waarneming.

Opmerking: De 'foto's' die het Fototoestel maakt worden niet digitaal vastgelegd. Ze kunnen alleen in levende lijve bezichtigd worden.

Concept 'quality of viewing'

The digital camera is one of those modern attributes that changed the quality of viewing for the big public.
In the time of the analog photography registration was more selected and considered. The upcoming of the digital photography lead to a sort of freedom. Everyone. Everything. A lot.

But this freedom has a limitation: pixels.
Your observation gets calculated into codes that represents a color. No matter how high the resolution will be, you are always restrained to the calculation. While making a digital picture, we accept that we parsh our observation through this digital grate.

This wooden digital camera-device shifts the quality of looking to the literal moment, place and material.
The function of this device imitates the digital photography. It's an utensil with its own memory card. The resolution is low, 1064 pixels. But the quality of the pixels is high, every pixel is collected from the observation.

Remark: The 'photo's' the Photo device makes are not electronic digitally registered. They can only be seen in real life.
